  • Who are the Campus Hands?
    Campus Hands are local university students who have been selected and trained to assist with various household tasks. They are hardworking, reliable, and dedicated to helping the community. Some are currently in school, while others have already graduated!
  • How can I book a Campus Hand?
    To book a Campus Hand please go to campushands.com/booking, or click 'booking' on the top of this page. Fill out your service request form and wait for us to send you a confirmation email (within 24 hours of inquiry). To learn more about How It Works, please visit: campushands.com/process
  • What services do you offer?
    We provide seasonal yard work, snow removal, moving help, assembly, and other general house chores. Visit our Services Offered section for the full list of available services.
  • How does Campus Hands benefit students and the community?
    Our service provides students with a chance to earn competitive wages while helping renters and homeowners with tasks that improve their quality of life. This creates a win-win for students and the community.
  • What areas do you serve?
    Currently Campus Hands is across 3 states (WI, IL, MI), please refer to our interactive map on the home page to see if your city is listed!
  • How much does it cost to book Campus Hands?
    Campus Hands charges $40.00 per hour per Campus Hand across all cities we serve. This rate ensures competitive pricing while supporting essential services such as insurance policies, website maintenance, email, legal requirements, and software expansions.
  • How does payment work?
    We require a $50.00 down payment. This must be paid after we agree to a good day/time, and wages. This can be found on the top right of the website "Submit Deposit". Once the Campus Hand (s) have finished the job, we will send you an invoice via email, which you will have 7 days to pay. Most debit and credit cards are accepted, including apple pay.
  • Do I have to pay a deposit?
    Yes, a deposit is required to secure your booking, but only after you receive a confirmation email from us. This email will confirm that we can accept your service request and review any additional details to ensure everything is aligned before moving forward.
  • Are there any additional fees or charges?
    No. There are no hidden fees, or taxes, all of our pricing is upfront and transparent. Additionally, your $50.00 down payment is applied to your invoice.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept major credit cards and online payment options directly through our booking system. Apple pay is also an option.
  • Do you offer discounts for recurring services?
    No, if we gave out discounts, we would have to give out discounts to everyone. However, you can request a past Campus Hand that you worked with before and liked to come out and help.
  • How do I book a Campus Hand?
    You can book directly through our website under 'booking' - campushands.com/booking Once your service request is submitted, it will be reviewed, and you’ll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.
  • How far in advance should I schedule a service?
    We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance. Same-day bookings may be available but availability is not guaranteed.
  • Is there a minimum number of hours required for booking?
    Yes. There is a minimum 2 man-hour minimum. This can be 1 hour, with 2 campus hands, or 2 hours with 1 campus hand. The main reason for this is to make it worth it for our students to stop what they are doing and help you out, as they have a guaranteed wage every time they pick a shift up. This also avoids any complications with the $50.00 down payment, as we charge $40.00 / hour / campus hand.
  • Can I reschedule or cancel my booking?
    Yes, you can reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours before your appointments scheduled day-time. However, that is the only exception for a full-refunds. Cancelling 1-47 hours before your scheduled appointment will result in losing your deposit.
  • Do you provide same-day service?
    Yes, but this is never guaranteed. The only guarantee we have is that we will respond to your service request within 24 hours of submission.
  • Can I book more than one Campus Hand for a single task?
    Absolutely! You can specify how many Campus Hands you need during the booking process. Booking page: campushands.com/booking
  • What happens if I'm not satisfied with the service?
    Your satisfaction is our priority. If you’re not happy with the service, please contact us within 24 hours, and we’ll work to resolve the issue. Please report to info@campushands.com
  • Are your Campus Hands insured?
    Yes, we are legally required to hold workers compensation insurance for our employees. Additionally, this ensures peace of mind for both our workers and customers.
  • What is your cancellation and refund policy?
    Cancellations made 48+ hours before the services scheduled date and time will be fully refunded. Late cancellations are non-refundable.
  • How do you handle special requests or tasks?
    Special requests can be added during the booking process, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. On your service request form there is a "special requests" category. Here is a link: campushands.com/booking
  • Do you offer refunds?
    We have a 0 refund policy. If a student goes and helps you do a job, you must pay for that students labor. If you have a complaint please email and explain your situation to info@campushands.com

  • What should I do if I have an issue during a job?
    Please email info@campushands.com if you have any complaints with your Campus Hand (s). For urgent matters, please email us and include "Urgent" in the subject line for a faster response.
  • What if my service area isn’t listed on your website?
    Contact us, and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate your location or plan an expansion in your area. Email: info@campushands.com or fill out a service request form: campushands.com/booking
  • How quickly will I get a response to my inquiry?
    We guarantee a 24 hour response for all formal service request inquiries. Please book through our booking page | campushands.com/booking
  • Can I talk to someone before booking?
    Yes, you can email us with questions or use our contact form to request a callback under "special request". Please keep in mind that callback requests are not guaranteed, while emails are.
  • Can I book a snow removal contract for the season?
    Yes, seasonal contracts are available to ensure your property stays clear all winter long. Contact us to set up a contract: campushands.com/booking
  • Do you bring equipment for snow removal?
    Yes, our Campus Hands bring shovels to handle driveway, sidewalk, and walkway clearing. Please note that we do not have access to snow blowers or plows. If you have specific equipment you'd like us to use, let us know during the booking process.
  • When do you come remove the snow?
    We try to dispatch within 2 hours of snow fall. When you signup for snow removal with us, we come to an agreement on what "snow event" you would like us to dispatch at. For example, if you set your 'snow event' to 2" of snow on the contract, we would automatically dispatch once the snow hits 2" of snow.
  • How do I know my Campus Hand will arrive?
    We will not provide you with a snow removal quote if your address is outside of our range of workers.
  • How do you handle large snowfalls or storms?
    During significant snow events, we prioritize customers with seasonal contracts but will accommodate other bookings as availability permits.
  • How early or late in the season can I book snow removal?
    We provide snow removal services from the first snowfall through the end of March. We accept snow removal requests all season.

Are we the right fit for you?

We are a student run company that thrives to reduce stress-induced chores for renters and homeowners by connecting you with enthusiastic students.

We are not a professional landscaping, moving, or cleaning company.

We do have an excellent relationship with a large number of renters and homeowners we have helped through past assembling, landscaping, moving, weeding, and snow removal jobs. 

We do not have or provide any tools, equipment, moving trucks, etc. Make sure you provide this for the Campus Hand(s) as needed.
